The data collected in this context will be deleted within three months unless a contractual relationship is established. § 3 Collection of personal data when visiting our website:

(1) When using the website for purely informational purposes, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser sends to our server. If you want to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security. The legal basis for this is a balancing of interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):

  • Content of the request (specific page)

  • Language and version of the browser software.

(2) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. These are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the location that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offer more user-friendly and effective overall.

(3) Use of cookies:

a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

  • Transient cookies (see b)
  • Persistent cookies (see c).

b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.

§ 4 Objection or revocation against the processing of your data:

(1) If you have given consent to the processing of your data (legal basis Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), you can revoke this consent at any time. Such revocation will affect the permissibility of processing your personal data for the future after the revocation.

(2) Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (balancing of interests), you can object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary for the performance of a contract with you, as described by us in each case in the following description of functions. When exercising such objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of a justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adjust the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate reasons on the basis of which we will continue the processing.

Our social media presences:

This data protection declaration applies to the following social media presences:

Data processing by social networks:

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The specific social networks used by us can be found below. Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. can generally comprehensively analyze your user behavior when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g., like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presences triggers numerous data protection-relevant processing operations. In detail:

  • If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Your personal data may also be collected even if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, data collection may be done, for example, through cookies stored on your end device or by collecting your IP address.

  • With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you inside and outside of the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in or were logged in.

  • Please note that we cannot trace all processing processes on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, additional processing processes may therefore possibly be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For details, please refer to the terms of use and privacy policy of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis:

Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence on the Internet. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g., consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).

Controller and assertion of rights:

When you visit one of our social media presences (e.g., Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. You can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and complaint) in principle both against us and against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g., against Facebook). Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the operators of the social media portals, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our possibilities are largely determined by the company policy of the respective provider.

Storage duration:

The data directly collected by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected. We have no influence on the storage duration of your data that is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g., in their privacy policy, see below).

Your rights:

You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to object, to data portability, and a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Furthermore, you can demand the correction, blocking, deletion, and, under certain circumstances, the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
