About 125 years Heinr. Betz Söhne
In autumn 1875 Heinrich Betz started to produce box locks in the blacksmith
of Feckinghausen. 10 years later the first manual machines and tools has
been purchased.
In 1906 his sons Houwald and Hugo took over the management. At this time the
company was on his way up. Already 1907 the forge in Önkfeld, where the
factory resettled, became a small manufacturing company. But soon the rooms
became too small and that`s the reason why the property in Radevormwald was
acquired by purchase. A manufactoring was constructed there and the
headquarters were transferred to his present position.

Here the manufactoring of the locks stopped and they started to produce
sliding door rollers. Now the company worked its way to the top and ranks
still among the first companys of this industry today.
Unfortunately the company suffered losses in the management by the death of
Hugo Betz 1951 and three years later of the death of Houwald Betz.
But giving up is no strength of the company. Between 1954 and 1959 the
company was directed on trust by Mister W. Stoffel, Houwald Betz ‘s
brother-in-law. A special assistant was Gerda Becker, Heinz Hermann Becker
‘s sister. In 1959 Heinz Hermann Becker joined the company, who was 22 years
old at that time, and displaced Mister Stoffel 14 years later.

Under his guidance the company push on his trade beyond the boundaries of
the FRG (Federal Republic of Germany). Business contacts were established
with almost all European countries. The company’s name became noted for
quality and trustworthiness by specialized trade and home improver.
The certification by DIN EN ISO 9001, for which the company worked for,
attested this characteristics of the company.

In 1999 the brothers Bernhard and Manfred Kemper took over
the management and ownership, for which Heinz Hermann Becker carry the
responsibility for 42 years. The company , which called now Heinr. Betz
Söhne GmbH & Co KG, was leaded up to the new
millennium.
The brothers Bernhard and Manfred Kemper set their sights high. They wanted
to put new products on the market and to be on course for further success.
In the first year of the new millennium new innovations and progresses as an
example the entrance in the “Tube drive systeme” or the expansion of the
track program in stainless steel “V2A and V4A” got a chance.

This entrance called for high degree of flexibility, power and willingness
to realize the extraordinary and to fulfil all costumer’s wishes.
That this entrance has been succeeded proves the good acception of the
products by our costumers and the market. The company meets every day new
challenges, which our employees opposed willingly.
